Being born the youngest of four daughters to a family in Seattle, Washington, meant that for Dayvia Harrigan, she would have the tendency to always want to be 'seen' in her family. Not that her parents were ever exclusionary, but having four daughters was certainly a handful. Though they didn't have all that much growing up, Davy definitely never wanted for anything. Sure, if someone's birthday party was huge and lavish, she wanted to make hers even bigger and better, but her parents were big on teaching their children the important lesson of working towards what you want, and enjoying the actual earn of it. Not always an easy lesson to learn, but one that would prove invaluable as she grew older.

From the time she was little, Davy always had a personality bigger than her body. Add to that her affinity for wanting to do everything her big sister Colette did, and they were quite the dynamic duo of hams in the family. Davy took the theatre route in high school; auditioning for plays and earning her keep in the high school theatre program. She loved being on stage, but had a deep interest in film as well. She was that person who would see a film she really enjoyed, and then go and watch everything by that same director or actor she fell in love with. She became a student of film in her own right, wanting to soak in everything she enjoyed about a performance while finding what really drew her into a character. Granted in theatre she had to be "bigger" than on film, but she could already tell that she was going to want to follow into her big sister's footsteps and find herself in Hollywood. It was fortunate for her, that she had such a guide to join once there, and all the better for a built in roommate for a time.

Her career started startlingly fast, when she started going out on open call auditions and taking acting classes at the same time. Landing a role in The Pacifier wasn't going to be a huge blockbuster, but it was enough to launch her career and get her proverbial foot in the door. As she progressed within the industry, she took more and more risks, challenging herself with every new role she went after. There were a couple of duds that came about, but every single experience was indeed a learning experience for her at the very least. Her career really began to take off after Jennifer's Body, which while her role was small, launched her into bigger roles in bigger films. When she auditioned for the new X-Men reboot, she knew she was going to have to fight tooth and nail for that role. The moment her agents called with the news, she actually broke down crying. The doors that have been opened to her during her career have never ceased to amaze her, but with the help of her family, she keeps it all in perspective as much as she can. Most of the time, she has trouble actually believing people pay money to see her be a goofball on screen.

In her personal life, Davy never quite learned to "play the game" in Hollywood, when it was important to maintain a kind of status with who she associated herself with. She would have described herself as a hopeless romantic, maybe one who got too carried away and involved with someone at a rate that wasn't conducive to someone increasingly in the limelight. She didn't reach serial dater status or anything of the like, but she never shied away too much from speaking outright about her relationships. This of course turned on her later in her career, when rumors circulated that she was getting "too close" to a co-star of hers while she was still dating someone else. The truth was whatever the tabloids said in the eyes of her then-boyfriend, which helped end their relationship, no matter what the actual truth was. Of course, she did no favors when just a few months later she was dating one Deacon Wolfe -- yeah, the very guy everyone thought she had been cheating with. For her part, Davy paid no mind to the opinions of others, even more so when the two of them got married on November 11, 2011 (a day which she insisted must be lucky), much to the surprise of many family and friends. For the most part, married life works for them, and that's all that matters to her.
